Study: GENETIC AND DEVELOPMENT FACTORS AFFECT THE EXPRESSION OF GENES INVOLVED IN FATTY ACID AND PHENYLPROPANOID BIOSYNTHESIS AND IN LIGHT SIGNAL TRANSDUCTION IN OLIVE FRUITS
show Abstracthide Abstract
The aim of the present work is to provide new insights in order to elucidate such processes and find relevant correlations within these gene networks, explaining the phenotype of contrasting three olive cultivars for fatty acids composition and phenylpropanoid abundance. The combined molecular and biochemical information elucidated more in depth the role of genetic and environmental factors on these pathways during olive fruit development, revealing genotype-dependent differences effects on anthocyanin and oleic acid related traits.
